The Hevreh Ensemble has been called “strikingly original and spiritually uplifting”.

Hevreh Activities

The group has just returned from a tour to Eastern Europe where they performed concerts in Prague and Krakow. They presented concerts in Museums, Schools and a special gala concert for the Spanish Synagogue in Prague. The group has been recipients of a grant from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to present concerts in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts.

The Hevreh Ensemble was recently invited to participate in a special collaboration with the Hofstra University Emily Lowe Art Gallery for the Spring of 2011: “ Soweto Art”- Commemorating the 35th Anniversary Uprising of Soweto.

They are also planning a collaboration with the Brooklyn College Academy World Ensemble - where they will present special Master Classes and Workshops

The Hevreh Ensemble also announces an exciting new addition the group: Keyboardist Adam Morrison- MFA World Music Studies California Institute of the Arts. Adam Morrison has been active a player, producer and teacher in the jazz and ethnic music scene in NYC for the past 20 years.
